Great article..
It's incredible how Java is developing, in benchmarks it is sometimes faster than C/C++ and in many almost equal speed. We will probally see more coders in Java in the future, although I do not support SUN at all ..Maybe you should add some known programs to each language so people can recognize some of their killer apps? ..

I think you might want to note that CGI is an interface, not a language like Perl. CGI applications can be any number of things - Perl, a C program, even a shell script, basically anything that the server can run. CGI is just the interface that the server software and application use to interact.
Also, a few nitpicks: - Quake 3 is written in C, not C++. - Most .Net apps can also run pretty much anywhere with the aid of Mono (escpecially those applications written in C#). - You might want to add something about SQL, as it is generally used with PHP/Perl on dynamic websites. Otherwise, great job! |
