There is some desire to flame this subject. Most of that blame devolves on the OP, regardless of his/her primary language, for thinking that PFO, a technical forum, is a joke, a substitute for his/her favorite chat room. He/she is not alone in treating this forum as such.

OpenLoop and Iignotus are both valuable contributors, in the real sense, to this forum. Love of each other is not a requirement for fulfilling that mission. Whatever respect is due, by factual consideration, is. You may disagree, on the basis of the OP's post. I agree with Iignotus in this particular instance; we're probably right, but not necessarily. If there are doubts regarding the true position of the OP, we cannot resolve them with mere thought. The OP must elucidate. His/her lack of facitilty with the language of the forum, English, is not important. His/her lack of respect for the persons, and their desire for communication to the best of one's ability ( from which he/she desires an answer) is.

Most of the argument against you, DaWei, and iignotus is based on the fact that he is trying to communicate as best that he can. My reaction, personally, was for the reason that it takes more than a basic knowledge of the language to come up with "hpl me plzzzz". What I believe happened was, even with knowledge of how to speak correctly, he decided to speak how he wished without considering what effect that would have as far as his respect towards us is perceived. Honest mistake, and if he does it again he should be banned, but at this point we should really let it go...

Shoot, I don't even recommend banning him. I just recommend chewing his ass and seeing if he adapts appropriately .

My bet is that he'll never post again.

Just in case anyone misconstrues my earlier post, I wasn't suggesting that the OP's post was appropriate; I just thought referring to him as "the most idiotic member we've had yet" was unnecessary. Clearly there is, as DaWei says, more than just a language barrier at work- the OP needs to put more time and energy into forming readable sentences.

It's time like these when you feel the need for an iignore list.

I call mainframe goobers, "bank programmers." I haven't thought of anything worse.

Insurance programmer isn't exactly cool either. The job is a geek dream, we look at system dumps, add hex addresses, and memorize op codes. It keeps your brain active with all the math, but the truth is, i'm not geek material. I was aiming more toward a .NET or some other high end job, but i figured i have to start somewhere to get experience.
