I googled for a programming forum and I got this site. Joined in to keep up to date and exchange knowledge because if you keep your knowledge for yourself, you will forget most of it. Also, unlike material things, knowledge grows by sharing and ...(stops reading from the knowledge philosophy book

i joined because i belong to a linux forum and they have a programming section but i had general programming questions that were not OS specific. I asked in the forum if anyone knew a good programming forum and this one was suggested. Im trying to learn programming on my own while i save up to go to school for it so i have a lot of questions and
feel asking people with experience allows for all sorts of specific as opposed googling it and reading webpages on it - which i do as well of course. |

Like most people I entered "Programming Forums" into Google search engine and this was its first link. Reason was due to uni projects giving me major grief and finding any books I tried completely mind boggling figured this was my next best place to get (as well as give) help with programming.
