I have no idea how to get a copyright, but I'd assume that google does.
As for transfering a program into a device like a remote or cell phone, I think you have to rewright the program in it's native language, some form of assembly would be my guess. I know that's how you right games for game consoles, well, before the next generation of consoles. I read somewhere that ps3 games can be coded in c++, but it was a while back, and it may have just been a rumor, but back on track. If you wanted to port your program (I'm assuming it's a program, due to your question about portability) to say a cellphone, I'd get it copyrighted first, then go talk to whatever cell phone company you want to get it ported to, and get the technical details of how the cell phone works, what language it uses, and then rewrite your program in that language.
