I am majoring in Computer Information Systems: What can I do in my share time to get my confidence up about becoming a programmer and developing programs? What are the basics steps of developing a program?

Think of something you would like to pargram, then throw that idea in the bin (my first ideas a normally miles away from where i am now) then think of something simple like a game of some sort, tic-tac-toe or rock paper scissors. Plan it and code it.

You can always build confidence by doing the coding I'm supposed to be doing right now for me!

Just write program after program, from simple to complex... Practice makes perfect.

And think a lot about them first.
