For any non-trivial project you have to have a solid definition of precisely what you want and expect as well as a definition of how users interact with it. What you have so far is mostly a brainstorming session with yourself about some amorphous idea. Once you have the definition, then you give it to someone to react to and expect questions and suggestions in return. At that point, then, you've barely begun. Any serious application undertaken in any other way will be rewritten at least a half-dozen times and maybe many more.
