Locator Idea Needed
Gang,
I'm proposing a revised doctor finder for a client. Currently they're using a mapped image. I'd like to do something more dynamic. http://www.uterus1.com/reference/finduterusdoctor20.cfm and http://www.fibroids1.com/reference/finddoctor20.cfm I'd like to do something that would be appropriate for dialup. Any suggestions appreciated! Paul |

is your goal to make it simply better looking or more functional/specific? (or both?)

if you simply want it better looking, after they choose the state, have it go to a map of the state a that they chose, and then seperate the the state into regions. have simple dropdown lists come down when the mouse goes over one of these regions (easily done in dreamweaver) with the names of the doctors in that areas. then the user can click on a doctor and have a new window (small) popup in the corner with all the doctors information.
i suggest using mysql and php for getting the doctors info into the popup page, otherwise you will have to make a different page for each doctor. anyways just an idea. |
