You mean optimization - compressing the DB so it loads fast?

Right now I'm just trying to find someone to hire to screen any potential programmer b/c I don't want to get ripped off once I'm ready to hire someone. I've had problems with web designers & I've heard a ton of horror stories.

What I was referring to by optimization was basically obtaining loading/operational speeds with minimal system resource consumption. This can be done during initialization, user interaction, backup/restore, encryption, and the various other processes and, most importantly, algorithms that ties everything together.
