Winapi
I have a question about win api porgramming because I am new to it and would like to know where stand compared to the level of other programmers..
Do you use skeletons/outlines on paper as references constantly as you program to guide you or are you at the level where you can program serious winapi code without referring to any documentation? |

My opinion: competent programmers, for any serious work, always design first, rather than code from the seat of their pants. This generally requires having a reference handy to the design as well as a reference to the functions used from other libraries. I grant you that oft-used functions, in their oft-used incarnation, may well just flow from the fingertips. Whether the references are on paper or in a window brought up by a documentation link, they are probably vital. The Win API is not a trivial thing.
