When you've exhausted that list, be sure to look at the submissions to Zen Garden and the CSS code provided with each. It's quite a learning experience to see the virtually infinite ways that CSS can modify the look of a web site without ever touching the markup. Of course, you can also view CSS code from many acknowledged experts. ![]() |

The absolute best reference for HTML and CSS that I've found is:
http://www.blooberry.com/indexdot/css/index.html It doesn't teach the language straight off, but if you need to find a certain thingummy or whatsamahoozit, then there's where you need to be.

Some of the tutorials on the w3schools site are rather useful.

I'm afraid to say you should disregard the previous post - the w3schools tutorials are full of hundreds of small errors - I think someone counted 11 on the first couple of pages.
CSS is really simple to learn (what's difficult about key:value pairs and selectors?), but hard to gain a thorough knowledge of browser's quirks and "what supports what". Making things actually look good with CSS is another thing that nothing but practice can teach. |
