Looking for Database program[solved]

i have got mysql but i'm looking for the best, free, downloadable one, by best i mean in how userfriendly they are and how useful they are. striking a mid range would be nice.

MySql you can get a gui front end for it eithe phpMyAdmin or soemthing else that must have a link to them on the webbie,.

thanks berto i've got someone else whos said exactly the same thing so 2 uber programmers saying to do something to do with programming i think they might be right.

MySQL is the best, free DB... some may argue that Postgres is... but they would be wrong j/k. Any how, if you are using the Windows platform.. MySQL Control Center is also available for easy management of the database.

Personally, I recommend phpMyAdmin over the MySQL administration tools.

Hey! Postgresql is on par with mysql in many ways. Although more people use mysql for some reason.

I believe PostgreSQL surpasses MySQL in many regards. I just don't use it because my book has MySQL on the cover.

I like postgres it installed first time unlike mySQL which never installed due to missing files when i compiled it for the millionth time.

mySQL is user-friendly enough with the GUI management tools, and probably more then powerful enough for anything you're going to throw at it. I think mySql is almost as good as oracle, with the added bonus of being free
