Shake Screen

I found an example on planetsource code, which shakes your screen. But when i tried to recreate it for myself, the screenshot didnt cover the screen it displayed in my programs form as the bacground, and my form was the form it shook instead of the 'desktop'. The direct example download is here: ShakeScreenExample

I think it has something to do where it says:
img.parent := Self;
but thats just a guess.

Thanx

I'm guessing, but suspect that the code
img.parent := Self;
will need to be changed so it refers to the current windows desktop, rather than Self (which is a handle of the current window).

Look up relevant functions in the win32 SDK, such as EnumDesktops(), OpenDesktop(), and related functions.

Keep in mind that, under windows NT (which includes 2000, XP, etc) access to the desktop from programs is controlled by security attributes and privileges of the running process. Which may mean a few additional challenges doing what you want than there would be under 95/98/Me.
