I highly doubt you can make a game good enough from the builder to actually make money off of it, if it was that easy everybody would do it. Even if you did make a game and sold it, it would never be massively distributed for you to make atleast 1,000 from it, youd be lucky to get a few bucks off of it... but I may be wrong, thats just my opinion.

Replying to infinite's question above:
Directx all the way Open GL is ok, but it's not the same as DirectX. Plus, I program on Windows, and using open gl and other stuff just wouldn't cut it for me. Windows blows Mac away, but who cares about mac anyway??? Directx is somewhat hard to learn (so many calls and stuff) but once you do it's sooooo much easier to write a game with it. now, going to brokenhope's comment: Don't forget. There's a lot of free open source engines out there that have the capability of creating a multimillion dollar game. It just takes time, patience, and a ton of brain power. After all, look at Bill Gates. He knew how to market his idea and make millions off of it. I could easily learn it's scripting language, learn blitz3d to edit the engine, and in no time, I could sell a marketable game. Plus, most people on the site admitted to only use it for fun, while the others who wanted to make it work and sell it were all going to ask for donations... Plus, most people there are kids and people who don't want to learn how to really program (c++, java, etc.), and think they can develop a killing game with this creator. Once they realize that they're so naive, they'll understand that they won't be able to sell something worthwhile. So, personally, I believe that with a good deal of programming experience in a real language will help you build a decent marketable game, that perhaps you could sell... However, only 99 percent probably will make any profit off of it.

It does look pretty good. Really it depends on what you're willing to do. If you really want a challenge, write one yourself. It's quite rewarding to know you did all the leg work on your own. If that doesn't interest you, save up some bucks. Me personally, for $100 I'm heading to Best Buy and picking myself up a few games.
