Perl help

Hey guys I just started learning Perl and when ever I run the Hello, World program I made it doesnt stay on the screen. I know there is a code to make it stay so if you could please help me. Thanks a lot.

Run it from the command prompt instead of double-clicking on the file.

well even when i run it from the command prompt I dont even see anything it just blinks.

if the command prompt only stays open you are not running it from the commnd protmpt

Run --> CMD ---> <perl program>

Get Linux if you want a real software development environment. I hate working on Windows machines so much that even when I'm writing a program for Windows, I prefer to develop it on a Linux machine then port it rather than doing substantial development work with a toy.
