VB.NET Video Tutorials?
Hi,
Are there any Visual Basic .NET video tutorials out there? I have looked on Lynda.com but they don't have any. I am not really a book person even though I bought nearly all of them that have been released for VB .NET. I need to start at the beginning as I have to create a payroll program (not a complicated one) in a year. I also want to start programming also. And VB .NET tickles my fancy as the best for beginners. Regards |

Well actually, VB .NET isn't too good for anyone, i recommend c/++/# and that'll make it a lot easier for you in the long run

VB .NET isn't a bad language - it's just as good as C#, and a good start to programming if you're looking for rapid application development.

VB 6 was a little, well, screwed if you wanted to use it for anything more than a basic application. VB .NET uses the .NET framework, and is therefore a lot better.

Ok, I will learn VB .NET first as I have some experience in VB 6. Does anyone know of any good tutorials that I can purchase?
I am downloading the AppDev Visual Basic .NET 16 CD's. They were costly. I haven't finished the download yet. Does anyone here know if AppDev tutorials are any good?

Hi,
Learning from the books is not at all bad. To learn any language, I always buy good books and I personally code the entire package. I referred on book Titled:"Database Programming using vb.Net and SQL server 2000" (Secrets of developing Accounting package revealed) by VK publishers. Good Luck Regards Bhar |
