if you want to cause latency, just use iperf to send X amount of data over your network. You'll probably need to use C, write a daemon that listens to incoming data and just slows it down. Check the sources for tcpdump, or ethereal. Those are programs that listen to incoming packets and display information about them. Good luck

I want to fake my latency, I dont want to use up a ton of bandwidth by lagging my whole network up.
