aye its great, but still didnt fancy installing all the server software aswell just for a personal project.

Who said anything about paying for db hosting. There's a mutitude of free web hosts out there, i am sure there are a few places that will give you db only access.

Yes, there are tons of DB hosting solutions... Maybe Kurifu could hook you up with something also. I think an instance of a database server wouldn't kill you, even if it is a personal project, I'm sure you will find other uses for it if you stay in the industry long enough.

Well i personal recommend MySQL because of the fact that if you want easily searchable then nothing beats a db. and MySQL is a great dbms and really wont kill your systems i was running alot of stuff on one server at my house including mysql and alot of stuff that used it and it really didnt slow the server down all that much. you could always give it a try and see what you think and if it isnt goin to work on your system you could just remove and it try someother solution. just my 2 cents tho
