Learning Perl
Hi,
I want to start learning Perl to do some shell scripting. Can you point me to any good websites and/or books to start out with. Thanks!

I suggest reading "Learning Perl" 3rd Edition by O'Reilly publishing. If I recall correctly, it is written by Tom Christiansen and was reviewed by Larry Wall himself.
 I learned from it, and now I'm a Perl voodoo freak.  ROT13 Encryption: tr/a-zA-Z/n-za-mN-ZA-M/ and print while <> I also know a few other people who learned from it... I highly recommend it. So go rush to your local Borders Bookstore or Barnes & Noble.

Some just posted a link to a few O'Reily ebooks regarding Perl programming, be sure to check those out too before they get yanked.
