Single Page Application Folder view

I am more of a beginner in terms of webdesign, but I was given the task to create a Single Page Application (JavaScript/HTML/CSS) which is a simple folder view. It should be running in a browser without any server¬*side pre-¬*rendering.

-Use Backbone.js
-Sass or Less
-Gulp or Grunt
-give it a fancy look if possible.

The files should be listed, with checkboxes next to their names, and a "select all" checkbox on the very top, there's also supposed to be some buttons there.

I confess that I had a break from programming, and.. well... I will probably have to be honest and admit to not being able to complete the task. I'm mostly asking for help here, to learn something new.

Thank you very much!
