Re: Creating a Makefile in CMAKE??

I've attached the below list of output.

1 - The zlib makefile.gcc (for building zlib).
2 - The DOS output from building zlib.

3 - The CmakeLists file for PODOFO.
4 - The Cmake build log.

Hope this helps.
Thanks

Re: Creating a Makefile in CMAKE??

Its enough to start with. Sorry for no response, things have been very very hectic at work the past 48 hrs. I'll hopefully get to take a look at it tonight or sometime this weekend.

Re: Creating a Makefile in CMAKE??

Thanks for the attention anyway.. Especially in a busy work environment. I've solved it now so I would hope someone will get something out of this. I'll check it again if anyone wants me to clarify what I've put below.

One issue was that I didn't set the flag for the Debug build in the makefile. It's actually written in the makefile how it is to be done. So if I want to build a Debug version I set LOC = -DDEBUG -g . If not I just hash it as a comment and a release version will automatically be built. The problem with that is that if I don't specify that it is a release version in CMAKE then it will default to looking for a Debug version.

The other main issue was this: CMAKE was telling me that it could not find the ZLIB_LIBRARY. So I input the variable ZLIB_LIBRARY and of course CMAKE can't find a Library because it is expecting a specific ZLIB_LIBRARY_DEBUG or ZLIB_LIBRARY_RELEASE variable. The makefile refers to the fact that you have to set the variable path to the ZLIB_LIBRARIES so they're looking for the Debug and Release version.

Setting the Include Directory is also necessary but it worked first go so there was not issues. ZLIB_INCLUDE_DIR.

Anyways,, hope this helps someone.

Cheers.

Re: Creating a Makefile in CMAKE??

I dont see an error building zlib, did you run make install after the zlib build? That would be the easiest way to give PODOFO visibility of the zlib libraries.

From Makefile.gcc
# To install libz.a, zconf.h and zlib.h in the system directories, type:
#
# make install -fwin32/Makefile.gcc
#
# BINARY_PATH, INCLUDE_PATH and LIBRARY_PATH must be set.
#
# To install the shared lib, append SHARED_MODE=1 to the make command :
#
# make install -fwin32/Makefile.gcc SHARED_MODE=1
