You're right... MS probably will not port .NET. However, a project such as Mono might do the trick, and then Delphi will be in a rut (except that they have ported Delphi to .NET!). Yes, .NET is bloated, but then again it never lacks for features.
But all of this is personal opinion, and neither language has all the advantages. -Wraith Daquell
