Very nice and well done. Held my interest throughout the video. It covers a lot of ground in 20 minutes with many very good recommendations, and new programmers may have to listen to it a few times to absorb it all.

Perhaps we should have a stickied thread in the community introductions section for good articles/sites/videos for beginners. I would nominate that "So you want to be a programmer" article for it.

really? What a terribly unmotivating response.

Lets encourage otherwise resourceful beginners to start more "What language should I learn?" threads because they cannot find the wheat from the chaff.
