Someone can only be President for 2 terms. being 8 years in total. Now i haven't heard anything about them changing this law. Nor do i think they will change it. We wouldn't be much of a democracy now would it.

first of all, we're NOT a true democracy, we're technically a federated republic. if we were a democracy then EVERYONE would vote on EVERY issue...PERIOD...we wouldn't need "representatives" because everyone would represent themselves. that said, the 2-term rule went into effect after franklin delano roosevelt died during his fourth term in office back in the 1940's and had a devastating impact on the country (on japan too, because his VP...harry s. truman was the one who gave the go-ahead for dropping the "a-bomb(s)").
