Symfony Vs Zend Framework

I am working on Zend Framework from last one year. I find that it is fine. Now I find that many developers are working on Symfony Framework. I would like to know which one is better - Symfony or Zend Framework? Will it be a good Idea to switch our Help Desk Application on to Symfony after working on Zend Framework for a quite long time?

I would say go with what you are comfortable with. Symfony has been around longer but the Zend Framework is also suppose to be really good. I haven't played with either, but if you have been using the Zend Framework for quite some time now, then I would stick with that.

Both frameworks will get the job done, so it is best to go with the one you know.

Re: Symfony Vs Zend Framework

I haven't tried Symfony.. But I suspect at some point Zend is going to integrate the Zend Framework into their IDE (Or they should). That's a bonus for using the ZF.

Re: Symfony Vs Zend Framework

Hi Sanjay. All the best with your search choosing a framework. I wrote a blog recently to mention why we switched from Symfony to Zend. Hope it helps your decision:
