Re: Learn Cobol or convert?

Is it possible to call c++ functions from cobol? If yes, then maybe one possible solution is to write the network related code in c++ and leave the rest of cobol alone.

The one he's shown me doesn't seem to be very big but it does have some...what I call structs since it's like structs in C++. Basically collections of variables. I don't remember if they're the same variable type, but it didn't have an index that I could tell; he called them levels.

W2k3 or W2K mostly. One program is running on WXP. No *nix as of yet, but we do have *nix systems.

Good question. It deals with medical information, so how much will medical data change in the future.

I'd rather not cross-pollenate until I'm more comfortable with the language.
