Re: visual studio 2005 vs. visual stud 2008 express edition

I have not used c# and VB enough to say one way or the other about their debugging facilities. I would guess that if C++ compiler supports watch windows then the other languages do too.

Don't discount what people say just because you think you know better. There's a difference between fact and opinion and I wouldn't just state something that popped into my head without stating that this is my opinion.

Also, the first link you posted says ONLY that there is debugging support in express, but it doesn't say what kinds of debugging. I didn't say there was no debugging support, only that some was missing. The second link appears to be for the retail version.

Another thing, this is from your first link:
See Attachment. Really don't need to say anything more.

RTFM comes to mind. If you don't know how to use the IDE, then you shouldnt come preaching on the forums to people who want advice.

Preaching? I simply pointed out that if you're going to call me a retard, you better have proof. You provided none until now. That still doesn't change the fact that there was absolutely no way to open a watch window or add variables to one on mine. If you want a screen shot, I'd be more than happy to oblige, also.

If you can't read the two links I gave you on the product features, at least read the manual on how to use the IDE. Walkthrough: Using the Visual Studio IDE, testing a program describes how to set up a watch view.

Seif, I know how to set up a watch window, I have the full version. I also know how to read, as I've already proven. Why you insist on being beligerent is the only mystery to me.

Would you care to tell us what this has to do with jack? Highlighted availability? Might make some sense if it was in some kind of context.

As for further input from you on this subject, I will consider it a waste of time.
