Need Some help
This is my first scripting class and I was wondering if someone could help me out. I need a flowchart for this code. Could someone e-mail me at army88m2@yahoo.com.
Start print "Enter a Grade" get Grade StopValue = -1 While Grade > StopValue if Grade >= 60 then passCount = passCount + 1 endif totalTestTakers = totalTestTakers + 1 print "Enter a Grade" get Grade end while percentPassing = passCount / totalTestTakers print percentPassing Stop |

Re: Need Some help
In other words, you want someone to do your homework and email it to you? How about we cut out the middleman, and you just give us your instructor's email address? Then you don't even have to read your email, and waste time cutting-and-pasting someone else's work as your own.
Lazy bastard.

Here's a piece of advice: next time you ask for help, instead of just posting the assignment verbatim, show what you've done so far. If you make an attempt, and show that you're not just being a leech, you stand a much better chance of getting help (keyword 'help'). Likewise with the 'email me' bit. The point of a forum like this is to have an open exchange of ideas, and responding in email precludes that. Imagine if you did make an honest effort, posted your work, asked for help, but still said 'respond in email'. That would basically deny everyone with a similar problem the opportunity to read the replies, if people actually responded via email, and that defeats the whole point of a forum. Then there's the fact that many people are loathe to email strangers, as then they risk getting even more spam, not to mention the fact it makes you look even more lazy, since you can't be bothered to even check the forum for a reply. If you think I was too harsh, just be glad some of the old-timers don't come around here so much anymore. I'm tame by comparison.

Re: Need Some help
Actually I did make an attempt to make a flowchart for that code I posted. I just need someone to tell me if it is correct. The other problem is that I can't post the diagram I have on this forum.

Re: Need Some help
Sure you can. If you've got webspace included with your internet service, put it there, and post the link with the [IMG]http://someurl[/IMG] tag. If you don't have such webspace, you can use services like this one to host your images, and post the link as described above.
If all else fails, you can use the 'attach file' facility, and just attach the pic that way, or hell, just do a rough ASCII 'drawing' of it. [edit] If you're saying that the file-attachment facilities don't allow for your file format, try saving as/exporting to an image. Programs like Visio, etc have this ability, and if you're doing a pen-and-paper version, just snap a digital pic or scan it in, like crawforddavid2006 suggests.

Re: Need Some help
scan the diagram, post it to something like photo bucket, and then post a link here for us to see. then we can see that you have made an effort, and we will also be able to help you.
