Sanitizing data
Where can I find information about sanitizing data with PHP?
What is to be sanitized and how? Article, site, ... any guide would be welcome. |

Sanitizing data refers to safety procedures for handling data that will be stored and displayed elsewhere which is accepted from some outside and potentially dangerous source. For instance, in these posts javascript is not allowed. You can place the code here, but it will not be executed. To learn about a more common data sanitizing procedure search for "SQL injection".

Sanitizing also refers to removal of metadata I believe.
