Forum System Upgrade

Hi everyone,

PFO was down for roughly an hour and a half this evening while I upgraded to the much awaited vBulletin 3.7.0, which was released earlier this week.

Things still aren't perfect and fully configured, but I wanted to get PFO back online, at least. Until you hear back from me, please ignore any bugs and things working out of sorts.

Once I finish upgrading everything, I'll post a notice here, and then start asking for bug reports.

Cheers,

Dani

Tags! Interesting. Can we get some information on that in an announcement/info URL/help page?

Re: Forum System Upgrade

There are many new features (check out member profiles, for an example). This is going to be a three step process. I'm first working on making everything stable. Then I'm going to open this thread up to bug reports. Then, once we're sure all our current features work, then we'll start investigating the new features that come with this new vBulletin version.

I found something tiny that will be of low concern and priority to you. But nevertheless, it says my referrals are at 10 when the last time I checked I believe it was 12. Not raising any alarms, but just letting you know so that if you start running into any problems, you might be able to trace backwards through that inconsistency. Unless my memory is failing me on that number.

Re: Forum System Upgrade

I'm now ready to open this thread up to bug reports before we declare this vB upgrade successful.

Tagging is a new feature where you can add any tag you want to any thread (similar to blog tags). Eventually tag clouds are formed based on the popularity of tags.

Re: Forum System Upgrade

If I use the "Reply W/Quote" button of a post, enter additional text after the quoted material, and then submit, then I consistently get the error message

"The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 1 characters."

This seems to happen regardless of the amount of text I enter (I am not the sort to quote a post and say nothing!!).

When I log out I get a messagebox that reads "undefined", still logs out fine though.

Re: Forum System Upgrade

I found two this morning while doing my modly duties:
1) Can not mark a thread solved is the Reported Posts board. The menu item does nothing.

2) Can no longer infract and delete a thread at the same time. This requires two steps (again). Wasn't that one of your customizes to vBulletin ?
