Hi, I'm ken ... and I'm new to this site...

...but, I've been dabbling with BASIC in various forms since high school - circa 1973.

I currently use a custom tool which uses code based on VB - versions 5/6. But it has some quirky things.

I also support and maintain a custom ASP application (which is written in VB.NET type code.

And - to top everything off - I often find myself dealing with legacy g++ code written by my predecessors.

Gnu c++

It's an open-source version of c++

Heh, heh, heh...

From what I've read - the online references I've seen - and used.

Gnu comes with a 'c' compiler - called gcc.
It also has a c++ compliant compiler called g++.

The programs I support use the g++ version - and so far - the c++ references I've found have worked - every time.

That is funny, or maybe I'm drunk. I laughed either way.

I don't remember where I heard that - it sounds like something Jerry Seinfeld would say - you know - when he does that little bit of stand-up at the end of his show. If I remembered where I heard it - I'd give credit ...
