Not exactly a place for "free computer books", but this website has good online tutorials for many programming languages like C++, VB.NET, and C#.

Google C# Bible and get to the download page of the PDF file.
Big, but thorough enough. Also sports a nice section on Databinding and the Paint methods in C#.
