i gotta say i prefer thing that go from DevilDriver to Within Temptation & lacuna coil.
Some of the old rock/metal songs are gd too

I like the place quiet when I'm working. Any distraction causes me to make mistakes, however, when I'm really into the section, I won't even notice the outside noises (if its not too loud).

Recently I have been listening to a lot of Stone Temple Pilots, but I just bought the album Core. Generally I listen to RAtM, or Tool.

I listen to many different metal bands when programming (and when I am not pragoramming)... these days it has been a lot of Exodus.
