I was looking on the net for Assembly tutorials, and all I could find was one entitled Sk00l m3 ASM!!. It's not bad, but does anyone have anything else I could take a look at?

It's processor specific for MIPS, but I think this was the site my assembly prof suggested in class last semester. It could be good for theory if nothing else.

I strongly reccomend taking a look at http://www.drpaulcarter.com/pcasm/ .

Also, I'd suggest buying Assembly Language Step-by-Step by Jeff Dunteman, and perhaps another reference book on Assembly.

I'm not gonna buy any books yet, as I don't really have that much time for it, but I'll keep it in mind. When you're ready to write your OS MJ, let me know

There's still a long way to go before that!

wow, assembly tutorials, i didn't know they would be helpfull. I'd suggest just learning the methods of assembly programming. Just knowing the language probably won't help you get anywhere. as for books goes. I learned assembly using SPIM, a MIPS simulator, think the MIPS simulator. At school, the book we used was

Patterson and Hennessey, Computer Organization & Design, The Hardware/Software Interface, Third Edition 2005, Morgan Kaufmann ISBN 1-55860-604-1.

I highly recommend it for anyone who does any assembly programming, not trying to start a book-flame war, but it's a great reference piece.

That's what I was looking for - not just something to teach me the syntax. I'm looking for something that'll teach me useful command-prompt coding in ASM. And I think, for now, I'm good.
