Good news, it appears we were right internal cannot access another internal pc via the external ip if you get what i mean, after testing on a remote pc i have discovered that both remote and local can connect to the server(using slitly different scripts) and the server is able to communcate with both regardless of what networking they have going on, which means i am now free to develop my client/server application to the end. Also i hope to learn Tkinter and add a GUI for the application and then i will be sharing it for use it all goes well.
