Re: What music do you listen to when programming?

If I really need to think about a problem, nothing.

Otherwise, a number of things, mostly either techno or goth. I often use Pandora (www.pandora.com) to listen to various things because you can start on one song/artist and it just keeps going from there (and you can specify good or bad if you like/dislike things).

Sometimes Classical though, it really depends on my mood, and what kind of programming work I'm trying to do.

Re: What music do you listen to when programming?

When programming, I need to concentrate, so I prefer to listen nothing, or if I'm in the mood for music, I prefer some internet radio stations but with very low volume. When I'm traveling, or walking I listen to Rock music or programming podcasts such as .NET Rocks or Polymorphic Podcast.

never heard of them.

I was joking a bit with my word selection. black metal tends to be too serious can be funny at times(Immortal calling of the winter moon). Bands I listen to would be Marduk 1349, Immortal etc..

Sorry I thought you were being serious.
Yeah, I have a few mates who treat Metal seriously and get a bit annoyed when I start saying negative stuff about metal.
SUNN O))))))))) are a bunch of eccentric metal heads who enjoy listening to feed back on there guitars for two hours. I'm not joking.

I usually listen to something classical, but I listen to Cher, The Pet Shop Boys, Rammstein and some old 80s stuff sometimes.

Hey! I do. But of course, I find female country artists better than the male ones. Sorry to point this out, but male country singers all sound the same. :p
