Yep, its mine

If you want to start game programming, but you find programming to difficult, i would also recommend you start with game maker. Thats how i started. Gamemaker is a free windows software for making games, that comes with an integrated scripting language. www.gamemaker.nl ( i think thats the website )

Absolutely. Acquiring programming skills at a young age will go a long way in your IT career. Word of advice though, don't let lose sight of what's more important, your social life.

Re: 14 years! Start programming?

Im just curious as to why you think it wouldnt be? (since you're question is if it *is* worth it, I'm going to assume that you have some ideas as to why its not)

Re: 14 years! Start programming?

Learning something like programming almost requires you to develop an obsession to really learn.

Teaching yourself to program can be one of the most useful things you could ever imagine. Being able to utilize a computer better than the vast majority of computer users is a BIG bonus for your career.

Good luck - don't be discouraged because it's difficult at the start.

Re: 14 years! Start programming?

I too am 14. Just today I decided to start, no idea why. It just looked like a ton of fun.

Right now, though, im super discouraged. I am using Cprogramming.com's tutorials and it just throws you into programming and I already feel like im lost.

Re: 14 years! Start programming?

C might not be the easiest language to start with. You might want to consider something like Python

Re: 14 years! Start programming?

Thats interesting Wizard. I was reading around and the majority said learn C first.

Is python a ton easier?
