Well, nothing changes when I do close it. I've looked on firefox, opera, and IE 6 & 7.

Well there's Safari for windows now. And thats what I use now til IE8 is able to be downloaded and used.

That is because browsers are designed to interpet bad code. The worse the code is the greater the chance the layout will be bad. Follow the W3C standards

If you used Safari on windows since its now available. Its 100% compliance. IF you get it perfect on this browser it will work on others or so it pretty much should. Since IE8 is a year or so away. You'll have to use hacks til then
