The fact is that I could accomplish the "being moderate" part of being a moderator without much trouble.

It helped that the rules were (though few) very clear. I dealt with infractions quite easily, under the circumstances.

There were a few occassions where judgement was called for. I made my judgements. In virtually every instance my judgement was questioned behind the scenes. I don't need that shit, or want it, either.

I do enjoy technical forums. I no longer contribute very much; the days of weeks-long discussions and example code are pretty much over.

My off-line personal life is great. I'm a clown. I get several guffaws a week out of my friends, whether it's something I said, or something they said. I'm on a darts team. We're in last place, and all indications are that we will continue to go downwards. They're very sexy women, though, so who cares?

Incidentally, I'm not Grumpy. I am Ancient Dragon and Sane, though.

This is a good forum. It was okay before, but CSCGAL has made it better.

Jabo, you just suck. It's not surprising, most sugar-tit sucking weenies do.

Y'all hang around and enjoy the forum. You'll migrate when you're ready.

I love how you presume to know everybody's problem here with your limited scope. Perhaps you can quantify what you mean by "you suck"? I'll be glad to set you straight.

I'd have to say personal attacks are questionable contribution. So, the question of the day is, why didn't you stay gone? Had to come back and insult somebody?

If you think being told you suck is a personal attack, Jabo, you have much to learn. Based on your actions, saying "you suck" is perfectly justifiable and logical.

Your earlier posts in this thread, while generically worded, were focused on Dawei specifically.
I consider that objectionable. One of the dictionary meanings of "suck" is as a verb for the act of "being objectionable". Dawei, clearly, drew the same conclusion.

But on a more serious note, no one here has said or done anything that warrants a discussion of this nature. There should be no reason for anyone to be getting annoyed over such silly matters. I understand and respect your perspectives (and hey, I agree with some of the things you say too). So there's no reason for me to be hard on ya' Jabo-- and I don't think anyone should be hard on you either. Likewise, I'd like to ask of you a favour, that you won't be hard on anyone in turn? There's no reason for this to go anywhere, and so it shouldn't. And on that note, I'm done with this thread.

Because I'm not in the click, I can't have an opinion? I stated exactly what I saw could be the problem, if you can't see it, just means you're too close. What actions are you saying I've done? Are you saying I hacked somebody, stabbed somebody, slept with somebody's girlfriend? I've taken no action, sir.

And, DaWei, that sounded a bit like a threat, was that a threat? Considering how much you know about computers and programming, I could very easily construe it to be one. And yet, in the same paragraph, you insist on name-calling, like you want me to retaliate.
