TrackIR in Maya
I spend this weekend by coding a plug-in to Maya. The plug-in, named Trackmayai, uses a TrackIR camera device that you can connect to meshes, cameras or joints in your Maya scene. When moving your head, the connected objects will also move. If you are not familiar with TrackIR it is a tracking device used by several car and flight games to simulate real head motions in the cockpit. Read more about it at www.naturalpoint.com if you are interested. If you wish to try out the plug-in you can download it from my website. Enjoy!

Re: TrackIR in Maya
The video's very dark when you show you and the monitor in the same shot. What's happening? Are you moving your head, causing the object on the screen to rotate?

Re: TrackIR in Maya
Yeah, sorry for the bad quality of the video. What is happening is that when I move my head the object on the screen responds on the exact same way. Rotating my head left causes the object on the screen to also rotate left.
