really any hosting that is decent should be fine... you dont need to pay extra for a website because it is about something.

You want a hosting service that supports PHP and MySQL. Those two features will enable you to use forum software, content-management systems, and the likes. Most, if not all, web hosting services (that are not free) will support those two things.

MD Webhosting is a cheap hosting service, all my dealings with MD Webhosting has been painless, as well as other friends who go through them. MD Webhosting are pretty cheap but the main point that should appeal to clanners is that they accept Paypal payments, which means you can accept donations from other clanners towards the hosting.

cpanel is pretty much standard across linux hosting, thats my findings anyway.

I'd recommend godaddy.com they are cheap and good from what I've seen over the last year.
