New to Programming

Hey guys.

I'm currently a junior in high school and enrolled in my first year of coding, doing VB6.
In my spare time I'm working on a slot machine program with the things we have learned so far.
Coding is pretty interesting to me so I hope to learn VB6 more in depth once the course is over, move on to VB.Net, or another language all together.

I'm hoping to go on to college and eventually get a job in some type of computer field (software, hardware, coder, etc. , I'm not sure) or in pharmacy if the computer field doesn't work out.

I do have a little bit of knowledge with HTML but haven't really done anything in it for a while so I'd imagine all I can really do is recognize some simple things.

If there are any tips anyone wants to share I'd love to hear.
