The backend of a forum system - or any such web application - is written in a server side language such as PHP or Python, where it interacts with a database such as MySQL. The frontend is the HTML markup that displays what the backend generates.

Wow, I am so impressed at the power's you guy's have that heighten your ability detecting homework assignments but I am positive a constructive answer would go alot further, nothing nice to say, then..., you know.
Unfortunately I am not in a position that enable's me to help the OP but it is frustrating to see this judgement arising more and more. |

They are not trying to be mean or anything, it's just that they have been around here a lot longer an have seen the gamut of post asking directly for code. If the OP had have posted some code and asked pointed questions about a forum back-end, they would have been better off.

@Alias and @SamReidHughes: you guys just joined a community that I've been part of for about two years now. I have my share of contributations. Do you?
Why don't you just learn how to program, contribute to this forum, AND get the hell of my ass or just leave. Exactly!

This situation is mentioned in the rules:

Further, we have a "How to post a question" thread at the top of some of the forums, including the C++ forum. The material is not language specific. Recommended reading.

Helping those who do not help themselves, or at least try to, will only be doing that person a disservice. You learn a lot in trying things for yourself, even if you never derive the answer to your original problem. Make an effort and then come back with a specific question, or post an offer in the job offers forum if you want it done for you.

Re: Forum backend in python - Can I please have the backend for a forum?
I never meant that anybody, including myself should break the rules of this community or go against etiquette of boards in general - I am just not a fan of post-count boosting or arrogance. I'm not sure what else could be accused as a motive.
Thank you all the same, DaWei, but I did manage to find the rules without to much trouble on joining. I am not sure, though, if you did show me that element of the forum rules to emphasise the fact that this forum not only condones flaming but encourages it. I do not wish to break rules, and would not advise other's to do so, a reaction like you have given would have been great advice for the OP, no doubt, that is if they had not consciously chosen to go against that information initially. ReggaetonKing, I cannot fathom what you think your contribution's to any community have to do with this situation. Furthermore, the remark you proceed to add indicating that there is a lack of understanding regarding the topic of this forum, namely programming, seem's irrational, judgemental even - If aimed at me then I can only respond in a note to explain that I do not need to weigh-up my experience and experience here in order to post, I am simply not going to get on my knee's to you for teaching just because my post count states two, on the other hand my modesty allow's me to refrain from 'blowing my own trumpet', so to speak. My apologies that this thread got out of line. |
