VB .Net is just about a completely different animal as opposed to VB6 pro, etc. I don't know of any good tutorials or even books for that matter. Most of what I used when I first started was google.com, msdn, tech net, and trial and error.

need some help too

i am quite profficient in VB and was learning VB.net this week , i am not getting indepth knowledge about and believe my approch is haphazard.

could any body suggest how to go about learning .NET and some good e-books..

It's learn by example, but the source code is pretty good. It's how I learn most of the time. Then once that is done you can try and improve on the programs. They cover most things there if you know what you are doing and are busy learning a new language.
