Yeah, found some good books at the college library, really good ones actually about cpu architecture. I think I can go off and study now.
I'll be posting some boring threads wanting questions soon. Thanks guys, it's nice to talk to people who know their stuff.

You may want to look into ARM assembly as well. I can program on a PC using Java, C, D, etc. When I want to rewrite software for my cell phone, create a robotic controller, or modify the interface on my mp3 player it is ARM more often than not. I just thought I would mention that. (:
