Yeah, found some good books at the college library, really good ones actually about cpu architecture. I think I can go off and study now.
I'll be posting some boring threads wanting questions soon.

You may want to look into ARM assembly as well. I can program on a PC using Java, C, D, etc. When I want to rewrite software for my cell phone, create a robotic controller, or modify the interface on my mp3 player it is ARM more often than not. I just thought I would mention that. (:
