I didn't ask you to divulge client information. I asked you if you can provide references to indicate that you are a boss that can carry the day. Your ability to dissemble raises honest questions regarding the matter, unless you are looking for politicians or used-car salesmen.

Unfortunately, I can't. This is a fairly new experience. However, I have been programming for 5+ years and have worked on quite a few development teams, including game development. One major project being the Blox Game Engine. If that is of anymore comfort. But like I said, everyone has to start somewhere. |

I don't have an entire profile put together as like I said before, I want this to be a "team" rather than a "company". I can confidently say I may be qualified to run a "small business" but don't have the proper resources/requirements to do so. ![]() ![]() ![]() The game engine is one of the biggest projects I've worked on. You can see the last updated version via the engine website. http://blox.no-ip.org. Quote:

Chris how old are you? Seeing the way you think, you seem to be very immature. Alot more goes into a computer than just, okay team lets go get them. Have you even considered the amount of time it will take to make a good program? You were saying if the customer pays $500 each person will get $150. That is about 3 hours of work. It will take 1 hour just to get a good understand of what each person will do. You were saying that you want to be the best price huh? Chances are thats not going to happen. If you are starting out your prices will be worse unless u want it taking a chunk out of your own ass. Your programmers aren't going to settle for less, trust me. How are you going to deal with keeping the project on time? Are you ever going to meet face to face with the client? If so who's going to pay for that? If they live in another state, are you going to fly there? From reading everything you've said. You seem to be an immature kid with a big imagination. Who doesn't know his own limits

Thirdly, I am not planning on making the programmer settle for less. The prices we have on the website are easily better than other places. For example, most places charge anywhere between $1,000 to $4,000, even for a simple application. I'm done playing 21 questions. If you don't want to help out, please don't "attack" me. If you do, please leave your name and email, and I'll contact you. |

I guess for some contracts the client will not request to meet you, but this is hardly ever the case. I have done a couple contract websites and small apps and the client has always requested to meet me face to face and to see some of my previous work. I think the main reason for this is to see that you are actually who you say you are. I work for a company that does bank software and we are sending a a group of people from my company to Italy this month to meet a new client face to face with the main purpose for them to see that we are a real company.

21 questions, 0 solid answers
. If you don't know why you might need to meet customers face to face, your ability to perform rapid development with solid performance is going to be severely constrained.I realize that you feel attacked, but offering professional programmers what is going to amount to five bucks an hour is not going to work. That's why you're getting these questions.
