To be really honest, I prefer Ubuntu now as it is a lot easier and less effort =D

Heh, Gentoo is the only thing I run on my laptop... takes an evening to configure, and I just compile all the big stuff overnight (I only know that 'cause I had to reinstall after sending it to the shop once). Only had a few small problems with it since I installed a year ago. But some people seem to be cursed when they install... maybe I just lucked out.

I have messed around with many Distros over the years including Gentoo and Slackware, which was a lot of fun. But these days I don't see the point when Ubuntu and Fedora just makes things so easy, and still has all the customization opportunities available if you want to tweak it to your likings.
