Smile Logo Design

Hi,

I'm not stupid enough to do too much for free anymore as I'm trying to save up to buy a MBP.

Any work I do it is probable will be less than £20 as I can only provide a few examples of previous work.

I am, however, a master of photoshop and also flash. Anything you want doing in this area can be done.

I am also fluent in HTML and PHP capable. I can and have done MySQL on a variety of occasions but I will not provide a server.

As I say logo design for less than £20. If it's a big website job that takes me weeks, obviously the fee will be higher.

Reply or PM me if interested. Payment would be appreciated by PayPal or cheque.

If you have at least something to show that's really good, you can always check out rentacoder.com or getafreelancer.com. It's hard to start with nothing to show though, and it won't be much pay til you have a reputation.

Thanks!

I'm half way through registration at getafreelancer.com

Is it any good? I was reluctant to give away my postal address to somewhere I didn't really know.

I'll also check out this other site!

Thanks again!

Matt.

Yeah, you have to provide all that info. I haven't tried Getafreelancer, but I've had an account with Rentacoder for years now, and haven't had any problems. I don't even use it anymore. I did 3 jobs and bailed out on the last one. Only take a job if you are sure you can handle it. Time plays a big part.

You also might want to consider your own website. Is that the image of HTML/PHP expertise that you want to portray? People will look, if you reveal the address. You say that you are an ace in Photoshop and Flash. Does your publicly revealed work substantiate that? Just some things to think about.

If you want to be successful outside the family circle, you need to think about the fact that family accolades aren't exactly the same as real-world accolades.

From taking a quick look at your website that you have a link to in your signature, I would think the total opposite of your above statements. The graphics and layout of your main page are terrible. Instead of trying to do work for other people for money, maybe spend a little time making your own site look a bit better. I am going to take a guess and say you are about 14 years old. You should not be looking to make money of what you know now, you should be spending time learning more.

OK. Yes that website is absolutely rubbish. I haven't even looked at it for two years. You should have seen my PHP site that I had before it was taken offline because I couldn't afford the server rent!

Your not too far out on that estimate - it's my 15th birthday tommorrow. I need some funds to continue my working because my current desktop is about 500000000 years old and I need to build a new one so I can actually run XP or Vista!

Maybe get a job in fast food or retail. I doubt you will make enough money for a new PC by doing web and graphics design for people right now.

DaWei, thanks for that - I'm in the process of making a portfolio of my good work now.

King, again, thanks for the advice, but please stop writing it in SUCH a negative tone. Thanks.

Don't take it too badly, Matt. The work that you've shown so far, versus your claims, is sure to give you a credibility issue with professionals. Pointing that out gives you a heads-up regarding taking corrective measures.
