The best way is to use a script on another page to set a cookie and then the download page read a cookie and download it using ActiveX on that html page if it finds the cookie

I didn't know it was possible for board members to be unbanned, linxis. You might want to take a hint from that little red square beneath your post count and be a little more careful from now on.

In case you can't take a hint, which, judging by your history and reputation, you obviously can't, you might want to consider:

That you have revived at least 4 threads that were over a month old
That a large number of your posts are either nonsensical or factually incorrect
That you are the only member of this forum to have negative reputation points
That you were banned at one point (and for good reason)
That you solicited a competing programming forum via PM to me and others

That's what PDAs are great for. Grab one of the newer ones with a high-DPI screen, and you won't have an ugly, blocky font. Added benefits: You don't need an external light on to read, and you can carry hundreds, even thousands, of ebooks in your pocket. The only downside is that a lot of titles (especially newer ones) aren't available as ebooks.
