If you know someone who has it, ask them for the "free trial" card they got in the box, free 10 days.. you can do a lot in the game in that amount of time..

I tried wow, because some of my mates play it. But I just couldn't get into it, it seemed a little easy for me [but I suppose it is in the low levels] and I didn't like the game engine really. It seemed quite a bit like guild wars [which I got bored of easily]. I my mmorpgs to be like Nwn, SRO, D2 or herrcot.

I play WoW casually because my friends got me into it. I am glad to say I have yet to see one of my friends do something major to make me think they are ADDICTED. My friends are very PASSIONATE about WoW.

Some people just need an escape from reality. All Blizzard did was try to make a fun game that people would buy and keep paying for the service. People do drugs to escape reality. Some people drink heavily to escape reality. Some people blow off college because they think they can become basketball stars and that rarely ends well. WoW is just one of the many ways people with addictive or afraid people have an excuse. MUCH MUCH MUCH more people that are afraid of reality drink heavily and do drugs than play WoW.

I do both. (Drinking and Wow, sometimes both at the same time... that is when it is really fun.)
