searching for book
Hello,
Don't know where to put this, so I'll just post it here. I'm searching for a good book which explains the principles of OS's : paging, segmentation, interrupts, memory managing techniques, combinations, etc... I want a book which gives many details, is complete on the subject. Size doesn't matter. Thank you, Leslie |

Here is the text book that replaced the text book I used during college for my Operating Systems class:
http://www.amazon.com/Operating-Syst.../dp/0471694665 Its predecessor was fairly well written and had loads of information.

I have the same book as IR. You might also consider stuff by Andrew Tanenbaum (the guy who wrote Minix), I've heard his books are pretty good.

What are you going to do with this information? I'm a bit curious. Also, my instructor used the same book (but I don't have it.)
